Core Curriculum


The core curriculum encompasses the ATTAIN courseware series, digital literacy curriculum, Unlimited Potential curriculum and the Microsoft IT Academy certification track courses.

ATTAIN Courseware – This core curriculum for ATTAIN is aimed at providing academic, educational, vocational and occupational course series for training participants in program activities in the ATTAIN labs.  Unlike other computer and educational-based technology centers, ATTAIN is a fully-integrated network of advanced technology and information training labs across New York State, which offers interactive, computer-based educational and occupational courseware that are used to provide training to students either in a lecture-led or an online self-paced format.

Digital Literacy – Basic fundamental understanding of computers. From using the Internet, to sending e-mail, to creating a resume, the Digital Literacy Curriculum helps individuals develop the essential skills they need to begin computing with confidence.

Unlimited Potential – Focuses on real-world skill development in the areas of computer literacy, information and communications technologies, workforce development, and preliminary technical certification preparation.

Microsoft IT Academy – Provides participants with a comprehensive selection of courses leading to certification in areas such as Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS).
